SOLUKHUMBU: Solu-Kathmandu contact committee of the Nepali Congress has sought disciplinary action against former minister and party central member Bal Bahadur KC for flouting party rules.
A written complaint has been filed with the party central disciplinary committee seeking action against KC for forming a parallel contact committee of NC Solukhumbu against party’s rules, said the contact committee’s general secretary Roshan Thulung.
NC has weakened in the district due to groupism within party, according to the complaint lodged by Thulung and the committee’s secretary Hari Prasad Kattel. NC Solukhumbu is being run by KC and another party leader Anggelu Sherpa.
KC belongs to party Vice President Ram Chandra Poudel and Sherpa to party President Sher Bahadur Deuba. However, NC Solukhumbu President Binod Babu Basnet said the party was being operated in line with party statute and rules.
