Shram Sanskriti Party protests against Prime Minister in House meeting



KATHMANDU: Lawmakers of the Shram Sanskriti Party staged a protest during Monday’s meeting of the House of Representatives of Nepal, targeting Prime Minister Balendra Shah.

As soon as the meeting began, party chair and parliamentary party leader Harka Sampang along with other lawmakers displayed placards inside the House in protest.

The placards carried slogans such as “The Prime Minister must be accountable to Parliament,” “Stop running away from questions,” “Respect the public mandate,” “Stop introducing ordinances bypassing Parliament,” and “Maintain parliamentary decorum.”

Following the demonstration inside the chamber, Speaker DP Aryal urged the lawmakers of the Labor Culture Party to maintain parliamentary decorum.
