President Paudel offers prayers at Dakshinkali Temple



KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Paudel, accompanied by his spouse Sabita Paudel, visited Dakshinkali Temple this morning to offer prayers to the Goddess Dakshinkali.

They received tika and prasad from the temple priest during their visit.

Located in Dakshinkali Municipality, south of Kathmandu, the temple is one of the major Shaktipeeths, attracting large crowds during the Dashain festival.

During the visit, Dakshinkali Municipality Mayor Mohan Basnet highlighted the damage caused by recent floods in the area.

He urged for relief efforts to assist victims and support the reconstruction of the temple.

Basnet also stressed the need to expedite the reconstruction of the Kathmandu-Makwanpur roads to ensure uninterrupted traffic.

In response, President Paudel expressed his sorrow over the property losses from the floods and landslides, assuring that he would raise the issues of road construction and relief for the victims with the government.

Upon his arrival at the temple, President Paudel was welcomed by local residents and officials from the temple management committee.
