13th nat’l day against human trafficking

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens has appealed to all to organize various programs for a week marking the 13th national day against human trafficking and transportation.

The national day against human trafficking and transportation is being observed on September 6 with a week long program involving various government and non-government organisations, civil society and stakeholders, said joint secretary at the Ministry Rudra Devi Sharma.

“Government commitment: our collective committee for combating human trafficking and smuggling” is the major slogan for this year. September 6 is observed as the national day against human trafficking marking the endorsement of the SAARC Convention against trafficking of women and girls, 2002 by the parliament on the day in 2063 BS.
