96 govt officials found absent during surprise check



SYANGJA: A total of 96 government officials were found absent in district-based government offices during a surprise supervision carried out by district administration office (DAO), Syangja on Monday.

A a team deployed from the DAO, Syangja carried out the surprise inspection in 20 government offices in the district and found 96 officials absent, said Chief District Officer (CDO) Kosh Hari Niraula.

The inspection team had checked the attendance register in the administration office. Among those absent, 19 staffers were officers and 77 were non-gazetted officials, added Niraula.
