Two more Simaltal landslide victims recovered in India



KATHMANDU, July 19: Two more bodies, suspected to be from the buses swept away by a landslide at Simaltal, Chitwan into the Trishuli River, have been recovered in India.

The bodies were found in the Narayani River at Champaran, India, on Thursday night.

This brings the total number of recovered bodies to 23, of which 14 have been identified.

One bus from Ganapati Deluxe, carrying 27 passengers en route to Gaur in Rautahat from Kathmandu, and another bus with 24 passengers heading to Kathmandu from Birgunj, were swept into the Trishuli River by a landslide on last Friday morning.
