National Assembly begins deliberations on four bills received from House of Representatives



KATHMANDU: The National Assembly meeting began on Saturday with an agenda to deliberate on four key bills received from the House of Representatives.

According to Federal Parliament Secretary General Padma Prasad Pandey, Prime Minister Balen Shah is scheduled to table a proposal seeking consideration of the Public Procurement (Second Amendment) Bill.

Likewise, Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle will present a proposal to consider the Asset (Money Laundering Prevention) (Third Amendment) Bill.

Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration Pratibha Rawal is also scheduled to table a proposal seeking consideration of the Cooperatives (First Amendment) Bill.

Similarly, Minister for Health and Food Hygiene Nisha Mehta will present a proposal to consider the Bill to Amend Certain Nepal Acts Relating to Health Science Academies.

The Federal Parliament Secretariat said the National Assembly is expected to hold preliminary deliberations on the four bills during today’s meeting.
