KATHMANDU: The Nepal ICC Men’s T20 World Cup squad has arrived in the West Indies, gearing up for their next match against South Africa.

The match is scheduled to kick off at 5:15 AM (Nepali time) on Saturday at Arnos Vale Stadium.

Nepal is set to play its remaining two matches in the West Indies.

Spinner Sandeep Lamichhane has also joined the squad after previously being denied a visa by the US Embassy in Kathmandu, which prevented him from joining the team in the USA.

In their first match, Nepal faced a six-wicket defeat against the Netherlands.

The second match against Sri Lanka was canceled due to rain, resulting in both teams sharing a point each.

Meanwhile, South Africa remains undefeated in its three matches and has already secured its spot in the second round from Group D.

Along with South Africa, India (Group A), Australia (Group B), Afghanistan (Group C), and the West Indies (Group C) have also qualified for the second round.

As the group stage of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 concludes, the competition moves to the next chapter.

The second round will feature the eight remaining teams vying for four semi-final spots, commencing in Antigua on June 19.
