38 quintals gold smuggling: Nepal’s Supreme Court upholds High Court’s order



KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court (SC) on Friday upheld the order made by Biratnagar High Court against those involved in 38 quintals gold smuggling and Sanam Shakya murder case except Mahabir Golyan.

A joint bench of Justices Anil Kumar Sinha and Susmalata Mathema demanded Rs one million bail bond from Golyan.

The apex court gave continuity to the order to keep 29 accused including DSP Sanjaya Bahadur Raut, Tularam Tharu, Ram Kumar Tiwari, Govinda Prasad Niraula, Rajan Thapa, Gopal Kumar Shrestha, Hemanta Gautam, Sambir Prasad Tolange, Madan Silwal, Amarman Dangol and Balkrishna Sajjel in custody.
