KATHMANDU: The government is going to implement the provision of a mandatory arrangement of lactation room by local levels and state-level offices at their own building.

The Ministry of Health and Population is making preparation to request all 753 local levels and state-level offices to establish lactation room to implement the provision of the Reproductive Health Act.

A lactation room was established at the premises of the Department of Health Services under the Ministry on Shrawan 16 last year.

At a program organized here today on the occasion of Breastfeeding Week-2076, Chief of Nutrition Branch of Family Health Division, Kedar Parajuli said that the ministry is requesting all local levels to establish lactation room in order to implement Reproductive Health Act.
