ACC Women’s Premier Cup: Nepal to face Kuwait in quarterfinal showdown today



KATHMANDU: The stage is set for an exciting clash as Nepal’s women’s cricket team gears up to take on Kuwait in a highly anticipated quarterfinal match of the ACC Women’s Premier Cup, slated for Wednesday.

The match, scheduled to be held in Malaysia, is poised to kick off at 11:15 am local time.

Nepal enters the quarterfinals undefeated, having secured the top position in their group during the preliminary stage of the tournament.

The team showcased its dominance by clinching victories against Hong Kong and Bhutan, each with an impressive eight-wicket margin.

In their most recent encounter, Nepal delivered a remarkable performance by defeating Maldives with a record-breaking 214-run victory.

On the other hand, Kuwait has displayed commendable prowess in the tournament so far. They secured victories against Singapore and Myanmar, with convincing performances.

However, they faced a setback against Thailand, suffering a defeat by 96 runs.

Among the sixteen participating teams, eight have successfully advanced to the quarterfinals.

Alongside Nepal and Kuwait, teams such as Thailand, UAE, Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Hong Kong have also secured their spots in the knockout stage.
