KATHMANDU: Pavilion Media Group marked a milestone with the launch of its entertainment, health and lifestyle online news portal, “Joy Nepal”, on Thursday.

Former Chief Justice Kalyan Shrestha, Health and Population Minister Mohan Bahadur Basnet, and senior artist Madan Krishna Shrestha jointly launched the portal at the Pavilion Hall in Durbar Marg.

Joy Nepal, a news portal, under the banner of Credible Multimedia Pvt. Ltd., is a dynamic digital portal that seamlessly blends fashion, beauty, society, culture, sports, lifestyle, food, travel, crime, pets, decorations, extraordinary things, tech, human interests, and entertainment, among other topics.

During the opening ceremony, former Chief Justice Shrestha conveyed his belief that Nepal is witnessing the emergence of a new media force in the realm of Nepali journalism.

He expressed optimism that this initiative would institutionalize entertainment journalism and foster positive communication amidst the prevalent trend of negative news in Nepali media.

In his address at the event, Health and Population Minister Basnet extended his best wishes for the success of Joy Nepal.

Minister Basnet emphasized the need for transformative changes in Nepal’s health education and outlined initiatives to enhance the quality of educational institutions.

He highlighted the impending shortage of healthcare professionals in Nepal over the next five years, underscoring the urgency to address and rectify the situation within the health sector.
