Bullion market turns upward again



KATHMANDU: Gold and silver prices continued their upward trend in the domestic market on Sunday, with both metals recording gains compared to the previous trading day.

According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Federation, the price of one tola of fine gold has been fixed at Rs 300,500, while the price of the same quantity of silver stands at Rs 5,010.

On Friday, one tola of fine gold was traded at Rs 291,000 and silver at Rs 4,710. Likewise, on Thursday, gold was traded at Rs 295,200 per tola, while silver was priced at Rs 4,980.

Similarly, last Wednesday, the price of one tola of fine gold was Rs 304,700, while silver was priced at Rs 5,600. On Tuesday, gold was traded at Rs 290,300 per tola and silver at Rs 5,335.

According to international media reports, gold is trading at USD 4,467 per ounce in the international market today, while the same quantity of silver (white metal) is being traded at USD 77 per ounce.
