SARLAHI: Two persons lost their lives in separate incidents in Sarlahi district.

Ashish Paswan, 10, of Lalbandi municipality-2, died when he fell into a water-filled ditch constructed for a brick kiln some 500 meters away from his house.

District Police Office said that Paswan’s body was found drowned on Monday night. He was taken to a Lalbandi-based hospital where he was declared dead by the doctors.

Likewise, Kabutardevi Mahato, 45, who was severely injured in a road accident at Ishworpur Municipality, breathed her last while undergoing treatment at Lalgadh Hospital in Dhanusha.

She was hit by a motorcycle heading towards Bayalbas from Nareshkhor when she was sitting on the roadside with other women.
