KATHMANDU: In a thrilling encounter of the Prime Minister Cup Men’s National Cricket Tournament 2024, Karnali Province has set a challenging target of 172 runs for the formidable Nepal Police Club.

Choosing to bat first after winning the toss at the Tribhuvan University cricket ground, Karnali Province managed to score a total of 171 runs before getting all out in 42.5 overs.

Nischal Rawal emerged as the top scorer, contributing a solid 50 runs, which included six boundaries, while Rabindra Shahi added a valuable 40 runs for Karnali Province.

The Nepal Police Club showcased an excellent bowling display, with Sagar Dhakal leading the attack by taking three crucial wickets.

Lalit Bhandari also made his mark, securing two wickets for the departmental team.

As the teams switch roles, the stage is set for an exciting chase, and the Nepal Police Club will be looking to meet the 172-run target to secure victory in this Prime Minister Cup encounter.
