KATHMANDU: Amidst controversy surrounding attempts by manpower companies to exploit individuals seeking foreign employment in Korea under the E-7 visa program, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has intervened, instructing to refrain from implementing the new provisions.
After discussions concerning the utilization of the E-7 visa for skilled workers bound for Korea in collaboration with manpower companies, Prime Minister Dahal directed the Ministry of Labor on Tuesday to clarify the policy and establish a system ensuring that all individuals proceed through the EPS (Employment Permit System).
The Prime Minister’s office reported that on Tuesday, the Prime Minister instructed the Labor Minister to reduce the fee for orientation programs related to individuals seeking foreign employment from 2800 to 700 and strategize to make it free of charge as soon as possible.
