Afghanistan sets 262-run target for Nepal in ACC U-19 Asia Cup showdown



KATHMANDU: In the ongoing ACC U-19 Asia Cup match in Dubai, UAE, Afghanistan, invited to bat first, established a target of 262 runs for Nepal.

Jamshid Zadran played a crucial role in Afghanistan’s innings, scoring a century and guiding his team to a competitive total of 261.

In Nepal’s bowling effort, Hemant Dhami, Gulshan Kumar Jha, and Subash Bhandari each secured two wickets, while Akash Chand and Dipesh Kandel claimed one wicket each.

Having won the toss, Nepal opted to bowl first, and now faces the challenge of scoring 262 runs in the allotted 50 overs against Afghanistan’s formidable bowling lineup.

A victory in this match would secure Nepal’s spot in the semi-finals of the tournament.
