UML launches ‘Samriddhika Lagi Sankalpa Yatra’ from Baitadi

A Mid-Hill Campaign towards a prosperous Nepal



KATHMANDU: The Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Marxist-Leninist (CPN-UML) has initiated the ‘Mechi Mahakali Padayatra’ from Jhulaghat in Baitadi, marking the commencement of their Mid-Hill campaign along the Mid-Hill Highway.

Led by Chairman KP Sharma Oli, the journey aims to realize the vision of a “Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali.”

During the inauguration, Chairman Oli emphasized the campaign’s role in addressing political instability and fostering positive transformations in the nation. Scheduled to address a mass gathering at Gothalapani, Baitadi later in the day, Chairman Oli expressed confidence in the campaign’s effectiveness.

Accompanying Chairman Oli are key party members, including Senior Vice Chairman Ishwar Pokharel, Vice Chairmen Bishnu Paudel and Yuvraj Gyawali, Ashtalakshmi Shakya, Ram Bahadur Thapa, Surendra Pandey, among others. The trek, named ‘Samriddhika Lagi Sankalpa Yatra,’ spans 1,879 kilometers along the Mid-Hill Highway and will conclude at Chiwa Bhanjyang in Panchthar, as per the UML’s plan.

This 19-day journey is expected to culminate in Kathmandu, symbolizing the party’s commitment to a prosperous and harmonious Nepal.
