KATHMANDU: The KP Oli Cup T-20 Cricket Competition commenced in Pokhara on Thursday, with the inauguration conducted by KP Sharma Oli, Chairman of CPN-UML, at the cricket ground of Pokhara Stadium.
Organized by the Madan Bhandari Sports Academy, the tournament’s first match is underway between Madan Bhandari Sports Academy ‘Red’ and Bagmati Province.
A total of 12 teams, including representatives from all seven provinces and departmental teams such as Nepal Police, Nepal Army, APF, and two teams from the Academy, will vie for the coveted cup.
The winner of the competition is set to receive Rs 500,000, with the runner-up receiving Rs 250,000. Additionally, individual accolades include Rs 30,000 for the Man of the Series, Rs 20,000 for the Best Bowler, and Rs 5,000 for the Man of the Match, as announced by the organizers.
