T20I Series: Nepal sets a modest target of 57 runs for Hong Kong



KATHMANDU: In the ongoing women’s T20I series featuring four nations, Nepal has set a target of 57 runs for the home team, Hong Kong.

Having won the toss at Wang Nai, Nepal faced a setback, being bowled out for a mere 56 runs in 18 overs.

Rubina Chhetri emerged as the top scorer for Nepal, contributing 25 runs.

Rubina, who smashed 4 fours in 30 balls, was dismissed, while Sita Ranamagar got caught out.

Nepal struggled with their batting performance against Hong Kong, with no other batsmen reaching double-digit scores, except for Rubina.

Ikar Sahar of Hong Kong claimed 3 wickets to limit Nepal to a low score.

Ruchitha Venkatesh took 2 wickets, while Mariko Hill and Kerry Chan each secured one wicket.

Meanwhile, Kanchan Shrestha marked her debut in the Nepali national team.
