KATHMANDU: Malaysia has given Nepal a target of 166 runs in the ICC T20 World Cup Asia Qualifiers.
After winning the toss, Malaysia batted first and scored 165 runs after losing 9 wickets in the scheduled over.
Syed Aziz, the opener for Malaysia, dominated the Nepali bowler with his impressive batting of 68 runs. He made a strong start by sharing 58 runs for the first wicket with Jubaidi Zulkifle for 24 runs. Zulkifle scored 24 runs and was dismissed by Abinash Bohara.
Then captain Ahmed Faiz was run out after scoring 3 runs and Virendeep Singh was also out for 4 runs. Sarvin Muninde scored 13 runs while Mohammad Amir scored 8 runs. Similarly, Ainol Hafeez was run out for 3 runs, Vijay Uni scored 13 runs, Sejul Idris scored 7 runs and Fitru Sam scored 6 runs.
Abhinash Bohora of Nepal took 4 wickets while Sandeep Lamichhane, Gulsan Jha, and Rohit Paudel took one wicket each.
