KATHMANDU: Nepal has won the toss and opted to bowl first in their match against Hong Kong in the ongoing tri-nation T20 series at Mulpani Cricket Ground today.
In their previous encounter this week, Nepal secured a convincing 7-wicket victory against the UAE.
Chasing a target of 141 runs set by the UAE, Nepal’s Captain Rohit Kumar Paudel displayed an exceptional unbeaten knock of 51 runs, supported by Dipendra Singh Airey who contributed 34 runs not out.
Rohit’s innings comprised 5 fours off 40 balls, while Dipendra struck 3 fours and 1 six off 23 balls.
However, Nepal’s initial batting performance saw Kushal Bhurtel departing after scoring 14 runs, while Asif Shaikh contributed 23 runs and Kushal Malla was dismissed with 11 runs.
In the previous match, after Nepal won the toss and chose to bowl, the UAE managed to score 140 runs, losing 7 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
