Asian Games: Nepal sets Mongolia a target of 315 runs



KATHMANDU: In a thrilling men’s cricket match at the Asian Games in China, Nepal has set a formidable target of 315 runs for Mongolia.

In a spectacular display of batting prowess, Nepal amassed 314 runs while losing only three wickets within the stipulated 20 overs.

Kushal Malla emerged as the star of the show, with an astounding score of 137 runs, while Rohit Paudel contributed 61 runs, and Dipendra Singh Airi added 52 runs to Nepal’s impressive total.

This remarkable performance by Nepal has set a new world record for the highest runs scored in a T20 international cricket match.

Furthermore, Dipendra Singh Airi etched his name in the annals of cricket history by becoming the fastest batsman to complete a T20 half-century, achieving this feat in just nine balls.

Meanwhile, Kushal Malla also secured his place in the record books by completing a century in only 34 balls, breaking his previous record of a 35-ball century.

Nepal’s cricket team continues to make waves on the international stage, showcasing their talent and setting new records for the cricketing world to admire.
