Traffic resumes in landslide-obstructed Prithvi Highway



MUGLIN: The landslide-obstructed Mauribazaar section of Tanahun, Myagde-6 along the Prithvi Highway has reopened.

Two-way traffic has resumed on the highway after the clearance of landslide debris. The landslide that has occurred at Mauribazaar since 7.00 am this morning disrupted the road traffic.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of the District Police Office, Tanahun, Mohan Bahadur Khand informed the highway traffic has resumed after removing landslide debris with the help of two dozers in coordination with local governments, disaster management police force and Chinese Company.

Landslide vulnerability has increased in the Tanahu section of the Prithvi Highway due to incessant rain for the past couple of days.
