KATHMANDU: A Police Inspector has been dragged to court for graft.

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Tuesday filed a graft case at Special Court against Police Inspector Lalbabu Pratap Shah at District Police Office, Nuwakot.

Shah has been accused of receiving a kickback from relatives of an accused arrested on the charge of drugs peddling assuring them of settling the case.

The anti-graft body has demanded confiscation of Rs 70,000 taken as a kickback, a fine equal to the bribe and a six months jail term to Shah.
