Narayangadh-Muglin road cleared, restored for two-way traffic

MUGLIN: The Narayangadh-Muglin road, which was previously blocked due to landslides, has now been reopened for two-way traffic.

According to the local police office in Muglin, the road was blocked this morning after a landslide occurred in Ichchakamana-5 of Chitwan district.

Bishal Tamang, the Police Inspector at the Area Police Office in Muglin, confirmed that the road is now operational.

Earlier today, a landslide occurred at bridge number three in Chitwan, Ichhakamana rural municipality-5, causing disruption to the two-way traffic.

As a result of the landslide, a truck (Na 6 Kha 710) overturned on the road, resulting in minor injuries to the truck driver.

This particular area has been prone to recurrent landslides.

The road section was previously closed for approximately 18 hours on Sunday and resumed operation last evening.

However, shortly after reopening, another landslide occurred, temporarily halting traffic flow.

The landslide was promptly cleared to restore normal traffic conditions.

This road section witnesses the passage of thousands of vehicles on a daily basis.

The frequent disruptions to the road have had a significant impact on passengers traveling to and from various parts of the country.

As a precautionary measure, the District Administration Office Chitwan has advised people to avoid using this road section unless it is absolutely necessary for an emergency.
