Rain likely for three days, but no prolonged downpour expected



KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has said that rainfall is likely in parts of the country over the next three days, but prolonged continuous rain is not expected.

Meteorologist Binu Maharjan said some parts of the country are likely to receive rain during the next three days, but there is no possibility of continuous rainfall for an extended period.

The influence of westerly winds continues across all parts of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and the western parts of Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.

According to the department, all parts of Koshi, Madhesh and Bagmati provinces, along with the remaining areas of Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, are experiencing the partial influence of both monsoon and westerly winds.
