Five swindlers arrested with fake gold biscuits

KATHMANDU: Police have arrested five persons with fake gold biscuits from Bauddha area in Kathmandu district. They during an investigation have been found to have swindled people by selling the fake gold bars, said Senior Superintendent of Police Sahakul Thapa.

The arrestees have been identified as Tinu Ghimire Panta of Chitwan, Susmita Acharya of Kathmandu, Jiban Sunar of Sindhupalchok, Jeevan Dhami Chaudhary of Sunsari and Jambu Lama of Gorkha.

A team from the Metropolitan Police Crime Division acting on a tip-off made this arrest.
