SANKHUWASABHA: Flood has damaged the Sabha River-based Lohakot Bijuwapani Community Water Lift Project in Sankhuwasabha district. The project, developed by the Drinking Water and Sanitation Division Office, has been significantly damaged by the flooded Sabha River.

The flood washed away a water tank located at the water-lifting site and submerged a house that was constructed as part of the project.

The Project had already served drinking water to 100 households in Chainpur municipality-11 before the flood occurred.

According to Office Chief Devnath Singh, the project was in its final phase of construction when it was severely disrupted by the flood from the Sabha River. The details regarding the extent of the loss are awaited.
