Siege likely against my decision to procure small planes for Nepal Airlines: Minister Kiranti

KHOTANG: Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Sudan Kirati has said that a siege has been launched against him to prevent him from buying planes for Nepal Airlines.

Inaugurating the fire control device made in Diktelbazar of Khotang on Thursday, Minister Kirati said that after he initiated the process of buying three small planes, the elements determined to paralyze the Airlines have started hatching a conspiracy.

“We are in the process of buying three planes. However, sinful minds from all over the world have initiated the siege to prevent the purchase of airplanes,” Minister Kirati said, ‘If we get your support, we will bring the planes in a transparent manner ensuring no corruption takes place.”

He shared that arrangements will be made to operate those two planes in western Nepal and one in the eastern part.

Minister Kirati expressed sadness that due to lack of operation, 22 airports have become grazing fields.
