U-16 Cricket: Sudurpaschim team announced under Naren Bhatta’s captaincy 



KATHMANDU: The Sudurpaschim Team has been announced for the Under-16 National Cricket Tournament.

The 14-member team under the captaincy of Naren Bhatta has been announced by Tejprakash Bhatt, secretary of Sudurpaschim Provincial Cricket Association.

Writing a letter to the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) on Friday, the Sudurpaschim Cricket Association informed that the team province team comprises Yuvraj Khatri as vice-captain, Ashish Luhar, Rajesh Ayer, Hrithik Thapa, Rabin Bhandari, Sudip Singh Karki, Sachin Malla, Ashok Dhami, Metrics Thapa, Dambar Majhi, Bikram Saud, Ashish Shah and Bhupesh Joshi as wicketkeepers in the team.

Similarly, Prajwal Sunar, Aaris Bohra, Sachin Bhatta, and Krish Shahi have been chosen as alternate players.

Dipendra Bahadur Chand has been assigned as the team coach and Surendra Bahadur Singh is the manager.

The national-level selection competition will be conducted from April 23 in Dhangadhi.

CAN has organized a district and province-level tournament in view of the under-16 East Zone Cup cricket tournament to be held in Malaysia.

As per the Asian Cricket Council schedule, the tournament will be held in Malaysia from May 17 to 28.
