APF makes place in final, registers four consecutive wins



KATHMANDU: Nepal APF Club has registered its fourth consecutive victory in the ongoing Lalitpur Mayor Women’s Championship T20 National Cricket Tournament 2079.

APF, who had reached the final one game before, defeated Lalitpur 11 by 37 runs while getting their fourth win.

Lalitpur, who set aside the target of 111 runs for victory, managed to score only 73 runs at the loss of 8 wickets in the scheduled 20 overs.

Soni Pakhrin scored the most, i.e. 15 runs for her team but could not lead it to victory.

Rajmati Airi and Binu Budha took two wickets each for APF.

Before that, in the match played at the TU Cricket Ground, Kirtipur, APF scored 110 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the allotted 20 overs after winning the toss and batting first. Rajmati Airi scored 41 unbeaten, captain Sita Ranamagar 19 and Binu Budha contributed 12 runs.

Having won the previous 3 matches, APF has already reached the finals. After losing all three games, Lalitpur is out of the competition.

Shristi Jaisi took 2 wickets and Simana KC took 2 wickets for Lalitpur.

APF will play the final match on March 30. The other team that will reach the final has not been decided. This is the fourth defeat of Latilpur.

In the match organized from March 23 by Cricket Association Nepal (CAN),5 teams including Sudurpaschim Province, Koshi Provicne, Nepal APF Club, Madhesh Province and Lalitpur Mayors 11, are participating.
