To me, my school is more than a place of education, it’s a home. As a kid, I love to spend time at school and have made happy memories within the four walls of my school.

Some may find this attachment to my school absurd or indifferent, but to me, it’s a place where I feel comfortable.

As a single daughter of working parents living in a nuclear family, I feel lonely at home.

In the morning, my parents are often busy getting ready for work and, moreover, they are more focused on their work than spending time with me.

Therefore, staying in a hostel for over a year has been a new and enjoyable experience since I have found more companionship and joy where I have been able to chat and share experiences with new friends from different parts of Nepal.

During my stay at home, when my parents are at work, I am alone, and the only companions that I have are my gadgets, teddy bear, and other non-communicative objects.

However, being surrounded by friends in the hostel has helped me to overcome the loneliness.

The question might arise as to what attracts my attention and what gives me happiness at school.

Besides reading and writing, we engage in lots of outdoor activities. This is the specialty of Budhanilkantha School.

The school teaches us everything important in life, and when you are an adult, you are a mature person. This is fun.

One important part is you have friends to talk to besides engaging in extracurricular activities, including participating in club activities, particularly on Fridays and Saturdays.

However, during school days, we also need to engage ourselves in studies besides completing homework.

Initially, I felt it was difficult but later on I got accustomed to everything around me.

The days at my school are fun and encouraging.

Therefore, I love, enjoy and engage more in school than my home.
