KATHMANDU: In the U-19 World Cup Asian Qualifying Cricket held in UAE, Malaysia has given Nepal a target of 73 runs.
After winning the toss at the Melek Cricket Ground, Ajman, Malaysia batted first and were bundled out for 72 runs in 35 overs. For Malaysia, Muhammad Akram Malek scored the highest 26 runs, while Hyiri Harrison and Syahir Shyamel scored 12/12 runs, but other players could not score double-digit runs.
Dipesh Kandel of Nepal took 4 wickets, Akash Chand 3, Milan Bohora 2 and Subas Bhandari 1 wicket to cap Malaysia cheaply.
Nepal, which is performing well, is aiming to strengthen its chances of qualifying for the World Cup by winning its fourth consecutive victory. Earlier, Nepal had easily won against Singapore, Kuwait and Hong Kong.
