Oli proposes Nepal to unite parties and forward candidacy for President



KATHMANDU: CPN-UML chairman KP Oli has proposed CPN-Unified Socialist party chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal to take initiation for the party unity and forward candidacy for the post of President.

According to UML sources, the chairmen duo discussed about the current political development and the possibility of the leftist government.

UML Chair offered UML support to leader Nepal in the election for the President provided the latter agreed to go together merging both parties. However, Unified Socialist chair Nepal replied that he could not decide alone on that issue, the UML source said.

The source claimed that the meeting also attended by the second level leaders of both the parties lasted for about 45 minutes.

After the meeting, the UML chair went to Sheetal Niwas and the Unified Socialist chair to Baluwatar.
