Lamichhane comes with aggressive bowling, three wickets in seven overs



KATHMANDU: Nepali spinner Sandeep Lamichhane has bowled aggressively against Namibia in the tri-nation ODI series under ICC World Cricket League-2.

Sandeep, who bowled seven overs in the ongoing match at the TU Cricket Ground on Saturday, has taken the maximum three wickets by spending 21 runs.

For Nepal, who won the toss and chose to field, Sandeep took three wickets and Sandeep Zora and Dipendra Singh Airee together took one wicket through run out.

Namibian opener Lo-Handre Lowrence was dismissed after scoring 41 runs off 54 balls with eight fours. Similarly, captain Gerard Erasmus was dismissed for 15 runs while Michael van Lingen added 22 runs and Loftie Eaton was out at Karan KC’s bowling and Aasif Sheikh’s catch.

Namibia scored 138 runs after losing five wickets after 37.3 overs.
