SC seeks details of previous verdicts on rape-accused cricketer Lamichhane’s case

The Supreme Court has ordered the submission of the details of the previous verdicts on the case against minor-rape-accused cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane. A single bench of Justice Hari Phuyal on Friday ordered to release all the documents including the district and appellate court verdicts (from the registration of the case to Patan High Court’s order to release Lamichhane on bail) on rape accused Lamichhane’s case.

Nagarik Unmukti Party’s lawmaker Chaudhary sent to jail

Arun Kumar Chaudhary, Member of Parliament from Kailali-2, who was sentenced to 6 months imprisonment in the 13-year-old arson incident, has been sent to jail. He was arrested in Banke on Thursday. The police produced him in the Kailali District Court on Friday morning.

According to SSP Jeevan Shrestha, head of Anti-Human Trafficking Bureau of Nepal Police, a 16-year-old Nepali girl was rescued by the Human Trafficking Bureau of the Nepal Police with the help of the Nepali Embassy in New Delhi,and the Indian Police.

EC sending back Rs three billion out of election budget

The Election Commission (EC) has said of the total amount allocated for holding elections to the member of the House of Representatives and Province Assembly, around Rs three billion would be sent back to the State coffers.

Gold price down by Rs 1400 per tola today
