Minister Rai directs govt. employees to provide prompt service

KATHMANDU: Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Rajendra Kumar Rai has directed employees at the Land Revenue Office to make service delivery prompt, effective and hassle-free.

Employees have played an important role in making public service delivery effective, he stated while receiving a briefing about affairs of the Department of Land Management and Achieve. The briefing was attended by the Department’s employees and chiefs of the Land Revenue Office.

The employees should work in a way people’s attitude towards the Land Revenue Office should change, he said.

A big chunk of revenues was being misappropriated stemming from a policy level corruption in the determination of land values, and this should come to an end, he said.

Similarly, the Ministry’s secretary Dr Damodar Regmi urged the Land Revenue Office’s employees to work effectively in the ‘important’ field of land.
