NC senior leader Poudel stresses on consensus, collaboration, unity among all political parties

KATHMANDU: Senior leader of the Nepali Congress, Ram Chandra Poudel, has pointed out the need of consensus, collaboration and national unity among political parties to move ahead resolving problems seen in the country.

Congratulating and extending best wishes to newly elected Speaker and Deputy Speaker in today’s meeting of the House of Representatives, leader Poudel laid emphasis on the need of strong unity among the political parties to strengthen good-governance, economic condition and complete the remaining tasks of the peace process.

He shared, “Let’s forge national consensus and join hands together to build nation and unite it.”

Saying he was always in favor of national consensus since the beginning, the NC leader mentioned that all political parties should come together at a time when the country is in problem.

Leader Poudel pointed out that country’s development might be affected as the trend of providing grants is also seeing a decline, adding financial resources for the development of the country are decreasing.

He urged the government to create environment to spend remittance in productive area, saying the country cannot be run depending only on remittance.

The NC leader expressed the view that the rule of law should be followed by all, adding democracy is the rule of law.
