All-party meeting called by Speaker underway in New Baneshwor



KATHMANDU: An all-party meeting of the political parties represented in the House of Representatives called by Speaker Devraj Ghimire is underway at the Federal Parliament Building, New Baneshwor.

Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Dhurba Bahadur Pradhan, CPN (UML) leader Subas Nembang, CPN-Maoist Center leader Hitraj Pandey, Nepali Congress Chief Whip Ramesh Lekhak, CPN-Unified Socialist Chieff Whip Prakash Jwala, Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chief Whip Gyanendra Bahadur Shahi, Rastriya Janamorcha Chairman Chitra Bahadur KC and Nepal Workers and Peasants Party leader Prem Suwal among others are attending the meeting.

Speaker Ghimire called the all-party meeting for the first time after his election to the post.

He was elected to the post of Speaker on January 19. Today’s HoR meeting has an agenda to elect Deputy-Speaker.
