Cabinet decides to establish Madan Bhandari University in Makwanpur



KATHMANDU: The government has decided to establish Madan Bhandari University at Thaha Municipality of Makwanpur district.

Government spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gokul Prasad Baskota in a press meet organized to make the Cabinet decision public today informed that the meeting has also canceled the citizenship certificate of five Indian nationals who had received Nepali citizenship certificated acquired through illegal means.

Indian citizens Dharmendra Thakur, Ajay Kumar Thakur, Jamuna Raut, Yamuna Singh and Kripali Rauta had received Nepali citizenship certificates submitting fake documents.

According to spokesperson Baskota, the cabinet has approved National Census and Management Order 2076, National Agriculture Forest Policy 2076, National Food Policy 2075. Similarly, the government has decided to forge consensus on the Doha amendment of the Kyoto Protocol.

Similarly, the meeting has decided to table the Intergovernmental Agreement on Dry Port in the parliament for its approval. The meeting has also approved the foreign trip of Public Accounts Committee President led the team. The president Bharat Kumar Shah led seven-member team is going to visit Riyadh, Berlin, Paris and Landon based Nepalese diplomatic missions to carry out the study.

The government has also decided to mark National Afforestation Day on June 29.
