National flag to be lowered to half-mast in mourning of air crash deceased today

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) has decided to lower the Nepali national flag to half-mast today (Monday) in mourning for those who lost their lives in an air crash in Pokhara on Sunday.

Expressing deep sorrow over the Yeti Airlines ATR-72 plane crash, the Ministry also decided to give a public holiday today to mourn the tragic incident.

An emergency meeting of the Council of Ministers held at the Prime Minister’s official residence at Baluwatar on Sunday following the crash took a decision to shut down all public services except for the emergency ones while all other programs planned on the part of government would be postponed, said Phadindra Mani Pokharel, Spokesperson at the MoHA.
