Skills, language test of caregivers in October

KATHMANDU: Japan is set to conduct skills and language test in October to select qualified Nepali manpower for nursing and caregiver sector.

A candidate has to pay Rs 4,500 as fee for language and skills test.

The Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security has designated Joint Secretary Umesh Dhungana as a focal person to this effect.

Even though Japan had signed a deal with Nepal to take both skilled and under-skilled Nepali workers for various 14 sectors, it is taking Nepali workers only for nursing and caregiver sector this year.

Japan government has said that it will recruit 60,000 foreign workers within five years.
