Nepal T20 Cricket League: Lumbini All Stars thumps Kathmandu Knights by 102 runs

KATHMANDU: Lumbini All Stars has thrashed Kathmandu Knights by a whopping 102-run in a match today under the first edition of the ongoing Nepal T20 Cricket League.

The match was held at the Kirtipur-based Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground.

With this win, Lumbini All Stars has topped the score board with 16 points from eight wins out of nine matches.

Similarly, Kathmandu Knights is placed in the third position with eight points from four wins from eight matches.

Chasing the 184-run target posted by the winning team, Kathmandu Knights was restricted to only 81 runs in 15.4 overs losing all wickets.

For the losing team, Bashir Ahmed hit 22 runs and Kamal Singh Airee 16. Similarly, Captain Gyanendra Malla and Lokesh Bam contributed 15 each. For Lumbini All Stars, Harry Tector, Kushal Bhurtel and Ishan Pandey took two wickets each.

Elected into bat first after winning the toss, Lumbini All Stars made 183 runs in allotted 17 overs at the loss of six wickets. The match was shortened to 17 runs due to various reasons.

For the winning team, Harmeet Singh hit 70, Lahiru Milantha 26, Gulsan Jha 21, Tector 17, Anil Shah 16 and Bhurtel 15. For Kathmandu Knights, Abinash Bohara claimed three wickets, and Ahmed two.
