53 untoward incidents reported during Nepal Bandh

KATHMANDU: Some untoward 53 incidents have been reported in 34 districts on Tuesday during the nationwide strike called by the Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’-led outfit.

Police said 23 suspicious objects were found in different parts of the country and five incidents of arson were reported.

Likewise, pressure cooker bombs were found in five places, sutali bombs in four places, gas cylinder bombs in two places and time bomb, a petrol bomb and an IED were found.

Nine suspicious objects turned out to be hoax bombs, police said, adding vandalism was reported in one place.

Law enforcement agency rounded up six persons from different parts of the country today.
