Police foil Biplav outfit’s plot to detonate bombs



KATHMANDU: The Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’-led Nepal Communist Party had planned to detonate bombs in five places of Katmandu Valley on Tuesday, police sources have claimed.

Police said they came to know about the plan to explode three bombs in Katmandu and one each in Lalitpur and Bhaktapur based on the statement given by a cadre of the outfit arrested on the eve of the nationwide strike.

The plan was foiled by an intelligence input, police said.
