Indian national nabbed with fake currency in Mahottari



MAHOTTARI: The police have arrested an Indian national with 11 fake 1,000 rupees notes in Mahottari.

According to SP Krishna Pangeni of District Police Office, Mahottari, 21-year-old Raman Kumar, a resident of Nainpur-10, Gram Panchayat Bhadian, Sitamarhi District, India, was arrested last Thursday night while trying to exchange fake notes in Jaleshwaro-3, Maliwara Bazar.

The locals detained Raman while he was trying to exchange Nepali notes with Indian Rupee, and handed him over to the police.

Further inquiry is underway, the police said.
