295 new small industries established in first quarter in Dang



DANG: As many as 295 cottage and small industries have been established in the first quarter of the current fiscal year in Dang.

A total capital of Rs 612.431 million has been invested for the setup of the industries.

Of them, 279 are private firms, 11 in partnership and five are private limited, informed officer at the Cottage and Small Office, Bikram KC.

As shared, 400 women and 674 men got employment opportunities in the newly-established firms.

A total of 327 firms were renewed in the first four months. The office has collected revenue of Rs 2.7 million under the industry category in the first quarter.

There are altogether 11,152 industries including cottage and small ones in the district as of November 16.

Similarly, 360 firms were registered towards commerce category while 72 were closed and 332 firms were renewed in the first quarter.

The office collected revenue of Rs 3.5 million towards commerce category during the reporting period, KC added.

He further shared that 12,696 commercial firms had been registered in the district till November 16 since 2007 AD.

Eighty-one cottage and small industries were closed in the district in the first quarter of the current fiscal year while 72 commercial firms were closed during the period.
