UML will initiate for formation of new government: Vice Chair Paudel

BUTWAL: CPN-UML vice-chairman Bishnu Prasad Paudel has said that his party will take the initiative to form a new government.

Speaking at a press conference in Butwal on Monday, a Rupandehi-elect House of Representatives member, Paudel said that UML has been mandated by the recent poll to play lead in politics now.

“Looking at the election results, no one has been given a mandate by the people to form a majority government, so it seems that the political parties have to come together,” the UML Vice Chair said, “Since we have already announced the party chairman as the prime minister after the election, naturally UML will take the initiative for the new government.”

Paudel added that UML will discuss this issue with other parties soon.
