Four buried to death in landslide



KARNALI: Four people died when a house was buried in a landslide in Melchham of Chakheli rural municipality-6 of Humla.

Five others were injured when landslide fell on the house of Manbir BK on Sunday night, according to Karnali Province Police Office Surkhet.

The injured were rescued alive this morning. Two of the injured are in serious condition.

Provincial Police Spokesperson Senior Superintendent of Police Madhav Prasad Shrestha said a helicopter of Nepal Army managed to take the seriously injured to Nepalgunj for treatment could not take off due to bad weather.

The deceased are 60-year-old Tulsa, seven-year-old Basantaa, nine-year-old Sushmita and 12-year-old Haijali Kami, police said.
